Michael J. Bernhardt, MD, is a 1980-graduate of The Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. His postgraduate training includes his dermatology residency conducted at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital/ University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama (1981-1984), where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bernhardt completed his undergraduate education, i.e. his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Cum Laude, at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1976. He attained board certification in dermatology with the American Board of Dermatology.
